Why don’t we hit the ground running in 2007? Instead of fearing the New Year why not run the race of faith. Why not go all out in the name of Jesus?
You may be saying, “I am too old and tired to fight the fight of faith.” As long as there is a Holy Spirit of God you can do battle against the forces of darkness in this world. As long as you can whisper a prayer of faith, or believe in the face of the impossible, miracles are possible.
In 2007 do not say, “The problems are too great.” Say, “Awesome is the God that is in me solving the problems.” Jesus Christ can move the mountains that have tried to steal my joy and ruin my life. I will trust in Christ. Sing, “Ain’t no mountain high enough to keep me from following God.”
We do not know what tomorrow brings. That is in God’s hands. He knows what tomorrow brings. He is the Lord of 2007. Walk by faith in 2007 in the name of Jesus.
Let the Holy Spirit speak to you and plant your feet on the path of righteousness. Enter the New Year on solid ground. Yield your heart, mind and strength to the Lord of all.
You do not have to worry about your future when your future is in the hands of the God of the past, present and future. The New Year is His to bring, shape and design. We are clay in the Potter’s hand. Be the clay. Yield to the hands of the Potter. Be joyfully shaped. Be a beautiful vessel in His glorious hands.
You can be a work of art in 2007. Look at the clouds and the oceans. Study the rivers and mountains. Our God is a magnificent artist. He is the Creator of the stars and the galaxies. You are one of His masterpieces. Yield yourself to Him as He molds and shapes you.
Stop fighting God’s will in 2007. Learn the lessons He has been trying to teach you. Allow the mind of Christ to be your mind this New Year.

While others are digressing, attempting to do away with all that has to do with the Lord Jesus Christ, drive forward. While others are being washed downstream, keep fighting the tide. Head upstream with your eyes on Jesus.
Ignore religious leaders who lead the sheep astray. Those that encourage sinful living must be bypassed by those on the trail of righteous living. Do not backslide in 2007. Do not slide, glide. Soar to greater heights in Christ.
Be all that you can be in Christ. A New Year is full of challenges. It is also full of opportunities. Fear not as you climb to the top. The Lord will be with you.
What have you failed to do? What has the Lord been trying to tell you that you have refused to hear? Stop refusing this year. Hear the Word of the Lord!
Do you need to read the Bible through this year? Then, by all means, read on. Do you need to begin a regimen of prayer that you neglected in 2006?
Repent for failing to do that which you planned to do. Then, by faith, step up to the plate and pray.
What great thing must you do? With faith and all of your might do it. Refuse to allow laziness, lack of confidence, criticism, a lack of money or any other diabolical block to stop you.
You have but one life. You will not be reincarnated. You will live, die and then give an account of your life to Almighty God. This is your faith walk.
If you missed the mark in 2006 you will never be able to revisit 2006. The final chapter of 2006 will be closed. The first chapter of 2007 will open.
James Brown the singer died before he could make it into 2007. His book is finished. Whatever has been written for him is finished. The next chapter is judgment.
Before time runs out, run in the name of Jesus. Hit the ground running in 2007.

8. SECULAR PRESS- In my review of the area newspapers, I have seen no note of the serious heart attack of the Minister-patriot, Dr. James Kennedy.

You probably have not thought much about the nation of Mongolia lately. However, before 2006 draws to a close, it would be instructive to remember what happened in Mongolia 800 years ago.
1206 marked the dawn of the Mongol Empire, in its time the mightiest empire on earth. At its height, the Mongol Empire had a population of 100 million. It covered 14 million square miles, making it the largest contiguous empire in history. By comparison, the Soviet Union covered 8 million square miles.
Empires don’t last. The Mongol Empire was a case in point. The Babylonian, Persian, Assyrian, Greek, Egyptian and Roman Empires are all gone. Spain is no longer a world power. Neither is Portugal. The Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian Empires were carved up after World War I. The French, Italians, Dutch and Belgians have cut their colonies loose. What is left of Britain’s overseas possessions has a combined population of about 200,000. The Soviet Empire is a goner. Japan got into the empire business in 1931 and got out of it aboard the USS Missouri in 1945. Hitler’s Thousand Year Reich came up 988 years short.
America – “the last superpower” -- has all the trappings of an empire. Our troops are stationed in 130 countries. We act as if we have the right to determine how other countries must govern themselves. We have no inhibitions about bombing the crap out of countries to enforce our will. If this is not an empire what is?
It matters not how noble our stated intentions might be. Politicians always have good intentions. Our excessive pride clouds our judgment. King Solomon warned that “Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18)
It is pride that causes Americans to think that we are selflessly spreading freedom and goodness across the globe and that the only people who hate us are a few fringe elements here and there. It is pride that leads Americans to think that we can end terror and tyranny in the world.
And it is pride that causes Americans to think that we will forever be a superpower.

The Defense of our Republic

The Constitution gives us no substantive morality. It does not proclaim a moral code. The Constitution presupposes faith and morality on the part of the people. What this means is that the defense of the republic is not legal and constitutional, but religious. If the people of the US lack Christian faith and morality, the constitution is meaningless.
Thus the futility of trying to start “democracies” in a foreign country that is ungodly. The personal covenant was basic, in that it involved the relationship of the individual to God through Christ…The idea of a covenant people…was common to the colonies and to their English background. The basic nature of the puritan army in England despite its variety of theological emphasis, was its covenanted basis. “The Solemn Engagement of the Army was a contract of voluntary association, a covenant among the soldiers, with the nation, and before God.” The language of the covenant or compact influenced civil and ecclesiastical policy. As Tocqueville observed much later, “In the United States the sovereign authority is religious.” Constitutionalism is a form of covenantalism, and it requires for stability the validity of the personal covenant to supply health and character on the part of the people. Attempts to transport constitutionalism, as to South America, the Mexican Constitution of 1824 (a copy of the US Constitution), and to the African States, have resulted in futility. Without the conception of the personal covenant of grace, the civil government and the constitution is rootless and quickly becomes invalid.

The Scriptures address all matters of life - including land matters. The property tax is an evil which the Scriptures speak against and which pulpits across this nation should denounce. Let me prove this to you.
The Scriptures address all matters of life - including land matters. The property tax is an evil which the Scriptures speak against and which pulpits across this nation should denounce. Let me prove this to you.
Let me ask you - who owns the land? Because we live in a statist nation, most people believe the land belongs to the state and any use that we get of the land is a privilege granted to us by the State, (and we should be thankful for it; for whatever we get). But the Bible no where declares that the land belongs to the State, rather, the Scriptures declare that the land belongs to God!
Exodus 9:29 Moses declares to Pharaoh (who I’m sure thought he owned the land) "As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the Lord; the thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail, that you may know that the earth is the Lord’s."
Psalm 24:1 "The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those that dwell in it. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters."
I Corinthians 10:26 Quotes Ps. 24:1 and says "The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof."
Leviticus 25:23 God is establishing various laws regarding land and He says to the Israelites "The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me."
The land belongs to God, not the State. A property tax is the State declaring that it owns the land, and worse than that, it is the state attempting to usurp the place of God by saying it owns the land.
A property tax is the state declaring that it owns the land. You doubt this. Just try not paying your property tax and you’ll see who owns the land.

School Officials Promise to Destroy Ill-gotten Information
The superintendent of the West Windsor-Plainsboro school system recently sent a letter to homeschool families telling them they “must” submit certain personal information, including their children’s country of birth, language spoken at home, and race.
The letter said “the state of New Jersey” was seeking this information. There is no law that requires homeschool families to submit this information, however.
Home School Legal Defense Association Staff Attorney Scott Woodruff called the superintendent, as well as the assistant superintendent for pupil services. Woodruff left a message explaining that their demand for information was improper and requested that they call him back so the issue could be resolved.
The assistant superintendent quickly returned Woodruff’s call. He immediately acknowledged that homeschool families are not required to provide the information the school system was pursuing. He also acknowledged that the state of New Jersey was not asking the school system to collect this information from homeschool families. He agreed to destroy all data homeschool families had submitted based on the school system’s erroneous letter.
In Woodruff’s conversation with him, it appeared that the unauthorized request for personal information was the result of one or more simple misunderstandings, and not an attempt to create a new policy or purposely inconvenience families.
HSLDA helps protect your right to privacy. When trying to obtain personal information from families in other situations, officials have often asked, “What are your clients trying to hide?”
This deceptive ploy tries to turn the very reasonable desire to protect one’s privacy into an absurd accusation of holding some guilty secret. Woodruff’s favorite reply to the official, before he explains the constitutional basis for the right of privacy, is: “Do you have curtains on your windows at home? What are you trying to hide?” The same officials who manipulate families into surrendering their privacy have no intention of surrendering their own.
We appreciate West Windsor-Plainsboro promptly and unconditionally acknowledging that families have no duty to send the personal information they requested.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is coming under increasing attack from within and without. Heresies old and new abound. The Gospels of Judas, James, and the Gnostic gospels are repackaged in documentaries broadcast on the History and Discovery channels as conspiracies of early Church fathers to suppress the “real truth” about the life of Christ. The Da Vinci Code is a popular fiction with phony discoveries and scientific overtones.
Spurious speculations on the life of Jesus Christ deny the greatest proofs of his divine nature, his fulfillment of prophecy, his miracles and his resurrection from the dead.
Many new religions have appeared in recent times. Though not truly Christian, many of them have Christian characters. Mormons, Unitarians, Jehovah Witnesses, Christian Scientists, Moonies Scientology, and an innumerable host of others have large followings. Apostate Christian churches, critical of the authority of sacred Scripture, embrace sodomy and abortion along with other sinful lifestyles.
Denominational and doctrinal differences pale in significance to these heresies. The Apostles had less heresy to expose than we do today. It is impossible from the pulpit to address them all. In the daily struggles of life, it is difficult for most people to research them. The Holy Spirit helps us in avoiding error. As those who handle money discover counterfeit bills, he who studies his Bible is best equipped in recognizing error.
Perhaps the most seductive heresy of our time is the “love gospel.” The love gospel easily crosses denominational lines. Those who subscribe to it selectively quote from the scriptures giving it the appearance of orthodoxy. The love gospel takes on many forms but is generally accepting of all sin except the “sin of hate” which is considered the ultimate “sin.” Any mention of sin is considered hate.
Our Christian forefathers excommunicated those in the church who lived openly sinful lifestyles 1 Corinthians 5. Love Gospel churches woo them in; their marques read “All Welcome!” Sodomites and baby killers snuggle in their pews, and sing in the choir! “A little leaven leavens the whole lump” 1 Corinthians 5:6-9
The love gospel, though relatively new, has grown very popular in the United States, especially among the young. The love gospel is the polar opposite of Islam. It is as helpful as Islam to those who are perishing. Love gospel enthusiasts are like the hippies of a generation past, they do not truly love. They define love as being accepting and nice to everybody about everything.
Naïve love gospel devotees usually suggest that we try being winsome and sweet with the baby-killers. Over the years we have seen singular ridiculous attempts to put this into practice. Some bring treats to abortion providers at the death camps, gently admonishing those outside for holding signs and speaking up for the babies. The devil laughs.
The love gospel flourishes in large church settings, but it has little staying power; it rapidly evaporates in familiar surroundings. It is increasingly painful to hold a smile for any length of time. Being nice is not the same as loving someone. To be overly polite is to be rude. ..
